HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I GET?
Generally an hour session will generate around 5+ finished photos across two different types of film with two hours around the 10+ photos mark. You'll get all of the digital scans as well as two printed physical copies (one in colour and one in black and white.)
WHAT IF MY PET WON'T CALM DOWN?
We can wait, I'm not going to be a hard ass and charge overtime if you're little bebs is struggling to get comfortable.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Always handy to bring some of your little pals favourite treats! You can bring as many outfit changes as you like, just keep in mind that your shooting time starts as soon as the first frame is taken.
WHAT IF MY PET ISN'T TOILET TRAINED?
A good pet parent knows when their furry baby needs to go to the toilet, it's up to you to make sure you see the signs. The front door of the studio is very close to where we shoot so quick escapes are a pinch! If your little pal is a bit sick on the day of the shoot (I'm talking squirts and the works) it's best to reschedule your shoot. We don't want anyone feeling uncomfortable on the day. If, for some unfortunate turn of events, your little mate does have an accident on the furniture or rugs in the studio, sadly you will have to cover a cleaning cost of $60. The studio does have concrete so lets just hope they aim for that if they don't quite make it out the door! Again, you know your little mate better than anyone so if they are a nervous nelly and do squeeze out a little bit of wee when they are worked up, we'll try stay off any furniture :)
WHAT IF MY PET ISN'T VERY SOCIABLE?
Our studio space is also our home and the safety of our elderly pooch, Phoeny, myself and partner, Ryan, is of extreme importance. If your little shnookem doesn't like men or other dogs, we'll keep your shoot outside for the safety of everyone.
WHAT ARE MY PHOTO OPTIONS?
I shoot on Kodak Ektar 100 which is a colour film and Ilford HP5 which is a black and white film. We can shoot solely colour or solely black and white, or if you prefer, we can switch it up and shoot with both!
CAN YOU SHOOT ON DIGITAL?
Yes. Do I want to? Not really. There is something really amazing about film photography. The grain of the image and the fact that it's a precious negative that you can never duplicate is so much more rewarding to me. At the start of every session, I will take a few snaps on a digital camera and give you a little look so that you can see how these images will turn out so it gives you a little confidence. If ever you're unhappy with your shoot, I will always offer a reshoot.
HOW LONG UNTIL I GET MY PRINTS?
Prints generally take around 2 weeks at most! The scanned images however, will be back to you within 3 days of wrapping the shoot. Please allow at least another week for any framed prints as the frames are made to order (although they are generally very quick!)
WHAT IF WE CAN'T MAKE THE SESSION?
I'm more than happy to reschedule your session, all we need is a little notice so try and let us know at least 24 hours beforehand :)
